1. Why do we have banners?

Isaiah 62:10 Pass through, pass through the gates! Prepare the way for the people. Build up the highway! Remove the stones. Raise a banner for the nations.

 

2. Why are there crucifixes in church?

1 Corinthians 1:23-24 But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumbling block, and unto the Greeks foolishness; But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.
1 Corinthians 2:2 For I determine not to know anything among you except Jesus Christ and him crucified.

 

3. Why do we blow on ram’s horn?

Psalms 98:6 With trumpets and the blast of the ram’s horn; shout for joy before the LORD; the king.
Joel 2:1 Blow the trumpet in Zion; sound the alarm on my holy hill. Let all who live in the land tremble. For the day of the LORD is coming. It is close at hand.

 

4. Why does pastor have long hairs?

Numbers 6:5 During the entire period of his vow of separation no razor may be used on his head. He must be holy until the period of his separation is over; he must let the hair of his head grow long.

1 Corinthians 11:14 Does not the very nature of things teach you that if a man has long hair, it is a disgrace to him?
The correct translation is “effeminate” instead of long hair” – The Bible cannot contradict itself by calling for the wearing of long hair in one place and forbidding it in another.

 

5. Why can men wear earrings?

Exodus 32:2 Aaron answered them, “Take off the gold earrings that your wives, sons and your daughters are wearing and bring them to me.”

 

6. Why do we have tambourines, other instruments and dancing?

Psalms 150:3-5 Praise him with the sounding of the trumpet. Praise him with the harp and the lyre; Praise him with tambourine and dancing, praise Him with the strings and flute; praise Him with the clash of cymbals; praise him with resounding cymbals.

 

7. Why do we kneel down?

Psalms 95:6 Come, let us bow down in worship, let us kneel before the LORD our marker.

 

8. Why do we sing in Tongues?

1 Corinthians 12:15 What shall I do? I will pray with my spirit, but I will also pray with my mind; I will sing with the spirit, but I will sing also with my mind.

 

9. Why don’t we dress up for church?

Galatians 2:6 As for those who seemed to be important; whatever they were makes no difference to me; God does not judge by external appearance; those men added nothing to my message.

 

10. Why do we make a noise and clap our hands?

Psalms 47:1 Clap your hands all you nations; shout to God with cries of joy.

Romans 8:14 Because those who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God.

 

12. Why do different people speak on the microphone?

1 Corinthians 14:26 What then shall we say, brothers? When you come together, everyone has a hymn, or a hymn, or a word of instruction, a revelation, a tongue or an interpretation. All of these must be done for the strengthening of the church.

 

13. Why do we sing spontaneous songs?

Psalms 149:1 Praise the LORD. Sing to the LORD a new song, his praise in the assembly of the saints.

 

14. Why do people laugh uncontrollably in the Church?

Nehemiah 8:10b … And be not grieved and depressed, for the joy of the Lord is your strength and stronghold…

Galatians 5:22 But the fruit of the spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faithfulness, kindness and self control.
